This service is designed to fit into the existing Alcohol and Other Drug policies being implemented by the company. Workplace sobriety is imperative to having good health and safety standards and this service supports organisations as part of their non-negative test result process and procedures. If an employee returns a non-negative result, our focused AOD (Alcohol and Other Drug) brief intervention sessions will support that individual to get back into work with practical strategies for future sobriety.
The counselling is based on a motivational interviewing approach, and is suitable for those staff who are misusing substances and want to minimise the harm to themselves and their workplace.
This is a confidential process designed to assist the individual to:
Understand the effects of alcohol or drug use on self and others
Become motivated to make healthy changes and achieve goals
Reduce the use of alcohol/drugs to comply with company policy
Develop a change plan and learn new habits to implement it
Establish strong support systems to maintain wellbeing and work productivity
